How old?
When did that happen?

A few weeks ago, Arun asked for some soymilk. I poured him a cup and watched him walk gingerly to the table with it, then he drank some before carefully putting it down. It was a regular cup and he did not spill a drop. It dawned on me then how much he has grown. A year ago, he still had not lost his pudgy baby cheeks. And now, he is all boy.

I like to think he is a child prodigy on the cusp of solving many of our societal ills including our impending energy crisis, our lack of viable 2008 presidential candidates and our increasing reliance on text messaging. However, to the rest of the world he probably appears to be just like any other 2 year old boy who loves his trains, chasing his cats, reading his books and blowing raspberries on his kid sister. And that is fine by me. Normal? Healthy? Happy? In desperate need of a haircut and basic table manners?

Is awesome and very much appreciated.

Happy birthday, babycakes.

Isn't it awesome to go back and look at the old pictures? My husband found a video from 2003 on the computer yesterday and we sat and watched it. The boys got a huge kick out of watching themselves on the screen as babies.
And they're so yummy at 2 years. Mobile, somewhat independent, talkative, but not so heavy it breaks your back to pick him up and throw him over your shoulder and razz his tummy. :)

Jenny,
I love looking at old photos, too. I do not have a single photo album for Arun, I just sit at the Mac and click away. That is good enough for me and it is all neatly organized there by date and function.

Dee,
Eek, I forgot to thank all my Real Life friends and Blog Friends for being such an incredible source of support and friendship for me these past two years. So, um...

Thanks, everyone!
