What do I like?

Sidenote: Why do folks do special "review" URLs of their blogs? Is it because they are receiving free stuff? I am just posting about stuff I have picked up lately that I am loving. Nothing free going on here. Good lord, the last thing I need is another blog - I already have two personal ones and the one for the business.

Today's edition of "Stuff That Is Good Because I Like It"

Curel Foot Lotion
Before I discovered Curel, I HATED lotions. Yet, I also hate dry skin, so I was in a constant quandary during the winter months. I would attempt to use lotions, but hated putting them on because my skin would feel dirty/oily so then I could feel compelled to wash my hands. Curel solved this problem and I have never looked back. It is quick-absorbing and your skin feels like actual skin, afterwards. Shocking, yet true!

I have worn more lotion in the past 6 months than in the past 6 years because of Curel. I am most grateful for them because my July baby has had such dry skin and I have had to slather loads of the goop on her already. I cannot imagine what December will do to her. Anyway, my most recent love is their foot lotion. It is not thick, creamy and overly scented with the usual peppermint. This is light-scented lotion that you can even wear during the daytime. Seriously, who wants their feet to smell like a candy cane? Not me.

FAGE Greek Yogurt
Pronounced "Fa'-yeh", this stuff is a little cup of HEAVEN - particularly when mixed with honey. The honey is better than sugar because sugar dissolves - with the honey, you get sweet, luscious ribbons of honeyed goodness in every bite. Greek yogurt is not thin and puckerish sour like the normal yogurt you may be used to eating. Greek yogurt is thicker and only slightly sour, similar to sour cream.

I feel the same way about lotion. I am going to try the Curel. Thanks for the tip.

I wish someone would send me free stuff. My latest post on reviewing nursing items is just for fun and sharing what I like. But heck, if any of those companies want to send me free stuff I'm all for that! :)

I bet I'd like the yogurt - I'm a sour cream fanatic. It's almost disturbing how much I use.

I'm in LOVE with Fage yogurt ever since I had it at your house. I've converted my sister, too, but my husband doesn't like it because it isn't loaded with fake vanilla flavor and Splenda. Cretin.

That's okay - more for me!

I love Fage!!! Although it's so expensive here (over $4.00) that I usually buy the Trader Joe's brand, which is cheaper. Greek style yoghurt is regular yoghurt with the whey strained out, hence more creaminess and less tang-you can make it yourself (my parents do because they're cheapskates) but who wants to do that when Fage makes it for you?

Chop up some figs and add it in with the honey. Yummmm.

As an added note, once I discovered greek yoghurt I converted to using it to creaming up North Indian style curries. Regular yoghurt works too but Fage/greek style adds that restaurant quality subtle creaminess without the artery clogging issues of actual cream.

I love curel lotion and Fage yogurt, too. I had never tried Curel for whatever reason and was in love soon after.

Alex and I love Fage yogurt, I purchase it at Trader Joe's. The honey with the slightly tangy yogurt is so delicious.

I'm right with you on the yogurt. Yum. And thanks for the pronunciation tip. Fayge no more!

Generally, speaking I'm not much of a fan of yogurt, but I do love Fage! Have you ever looked at the calorie count on a tub of that stuff, though? No wonder it's so good. I try (but don't always succeed) to just eat half a tub at a time.

Since I have terrible Ecezema I'm always on the hunt for that perfect lotion. I thought that I found it, but may have to try Curel just to see if it's any better.

As for greek yogurt... never tried it. Maybe I'll have to give it a go.

BTW, my sister says that Super Target has Fage. I bet it's a little cheaper than what Whole Foods charges.

I love Greek yogurt... it is my go-to breakfast with honey and banana, and I substitute it for sour cream all the time. I actually think the Trader Joe's Greek yogurt is better than Fage (and MUCH cheaper), especially the nonfat version, which is as thick and creamy as Fage's full fat version.

I've never even seen greek yogurt...i'll have to look for it

i hate lotion for all those same reasons. curel, hummmm, will have to try that

some people have separate review sites because they have BlogHer advertising on their main sites and they are forbidden from reviewing other products on the same site as the BlogHer ads. I don't have the BlogHer ads but didn't want to clutter up my blog with all the stuff I'm sent to review so that is why I set up an entirely different blog.
