Seriously. Are they just parking their kids in front of the TV all day? I do not get it. I have been working on some things for the Big Idea and it has not been too bad, but has required special scheduling and juggling to make sure that we meet all of our play dates, activities and such. Arun has not been in his day school this week, so that has added a new element.
Sure, I cannot really complain that it is has been super stressful since I actually have it pretty good. The kids are easy-going, Arun will play contentedly with his bazillion toys for decent periods of time and Anjali is happy to just watch him. Also, X works from home, so we tag-team many of the Kid Duties. However, but I do have a newfound respect for WAHMs and truly, would never want to be a full-time one myself.

The ones I know have nannies that come in while mommy barricades herself in her office with the door closed.
I have no idea how WAHM's do it... unless they only work when their kids are still sleeping (am), napping, or in bed sleeping (pm).
I don't know, either. Without them in school, sleeping, or occupied by another adult, I don't know how any work requiring any amount of focus could get accomplished. I work from home but not with my kids there.
I find it very difficult to work from home when Alex is home so I don't know how people do it either.
If I were to work from home again I'd have to have a babysitter either nearby or come in the earlier portion of the day until my guy naps.
I have wondered this same thing myself. I can barely get the dishes washed over here.
