I promise it wasn't I. Only boys here and we are a totally princess-free home. In fact, I sometimes worry that they'll think all girls/women are like their mom. I try to tell them that not all females are as, umm, lazy? not interested in gifts? etc. as I am.
I hope it takes. I also explain to them what proper housekeeping would look like, so that they aren't shocked or confused by it if they find it in other people's houses. Good news: the older ones do their own laundry.
